GEM STATE FALCONS

Gem State Falcons

The Gem State Falcons are a professional National Wheelchair Basketball (NWBA) division 3 team, from Boise, Idaho.

Our mission is to enhance the lives of individuals with physical disabilities through adaptive sports and recreation, empowering them to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

The Falcons are proud to be part of Idaho Adaptive Sports. Our goal is to use the sport of basketball to break down the barriers people associate with disabilities and to build skills and strength that translates on and off the court. We are not just a team of players but a group of people wanting to help bring a new look on life, excitement, appreciation, and self confidence.

We currently have 10+ active players on the team. Age range is from 16 to 69. We plan to help develop several teams throughout the state from juniors through collegiate in the next 5 years. If you know of someone who wants to be involved or is trying to start a team please have them contact us.

Last season we hosted the City of Trees Basketball Tournament in Boise Feb 18-19, 2023 at the Salvation Army Gymnasium on Emerald Street in Boise. We had teams from Arizona, California and Washington attending. We had great crowds that learns a lot about Wheelchair Basketball and were amazed at the pace and ability of the players.
